Vintage Wooden Jigsaw Puzzle – “Kittens + Chess Board”,

J Salmon Academy Puzzle, 1930s, VGiB. 

A nice vintage Jigsaw Puzzle featuring a charming scene of

Kittens playing on a Chess Board, one of the Academy Puzzles

made by the J. Salmon Co. in Sevenoaks, England, probably

 in the 1930’s or 40s in the original box.

The puzzle is in very good, complete condition with some

wear and a small area of damage to one piece. It has 200

 pieces and when complete it measures 12 inches by 19.5.

It is a nice puzzle and quite challenging to complete. The

 box is marked with “Jigsaw A Charming Watercolour

In 200 Pieces”, with a label on one end marked with

“No. J910” and a label inside the lid marked with

“The Academy Jigsaw Puzzle” and “Manufactured

By J. Salmon, Sevenoaks, England”.
