Authentic, mid-19th-century British historical artifact: A Genealogical Chart of the Kings and Queens of England from the Reign of William the Conqueror to That of His Most Gracious Majesty William the Fourth.Engraved beautifully by William T. Fry and published in London by George Taylor, this folding sectional chart maps the complete lineage, marriages, and heraldic branches of the English monarchy from 1066 up to the 1830s. It features miniature portrait vignettes of the monarchs and hand-colored blocks indicating the various royal houses.Condition Report (Please Review Photos):This item is in honest, unrestored antique condition, showing typical wear consistent with its ~190-year age.Interior Paper & Engraving: The internal text, portraits, and crests remain remarkably sharp, clean, and highly legible. The early hand-coloring remains bright. There is expected light age-toning but no heavy moisture stains or mold.Structure: The chart is complete and remains attached in one piece to its folder. However, please note that several of the individual paper panels are beginning to delaminate (peel away) from the underlying linen backing at the fold points, and there is visible thinning/splitting along the main hinge crease line. It requires careful handling or minor archival restoration.Binding/Cover: The original green textured cloth boards and red leather spine show significant rubbing, edge wear, and dry-cracking to the leather spine. The gilt lettering on the spine is aged but legible.Provenance: Features a charming contemporary 19th-century owner signature ("G. Parker") in dip-pen ink on the inside yellow front cover lining.A wonderful candidate for careful conservation, a library collection, or for individual panel framing
