  1. Open the original key: The factory housing is sealed and cannot be opened normally. You must carefully cut or crack it open along the edges — without damaging the sensitive electronics inside.

  2. Remove the old battery: The original battery is spot-welded directly to the circuit board. These solid welds must be carefully snipped or broken to release the old cell.

  3. Fit the new battery & close the case: Connect a fresh CR2032 3V coin cell, place the board into the replacement case, and close the two halves. A drop of super glue is recommended for a secure seal.
