A very unusual and somewhat scarce gents wrist watch by the Wittnauer Watch Co. USA & Switzerland. I think it will date to circa 1950-60. This is a manual wind movement which I am unable to trace as all of this type which I have checked are automatic.
Movement :-
I an unable to remove the rear cover to check the movement as a special tool is reqquired and I do not wish to cause damage. It has been running well on my desk for the last few days and keeping good time for a watch of this age.
Case:-
it is a good condition rolled gold case and measures 35mm over the winding button.
Dial:-
The nice silver dial with raised gold numerals and battens is in good condition but I find it difficult to get a true picture of its good condition. It looks to be the original acrylic glass which is also in clear and good condition
