A charming handmade studio pottery honey or preserve pot by Devon potter Nicholas “Nick” Hillyard of Axminster Pottery.

The pot has a rich mottled green glaze with contrasting dark brown edging and is decorated around the body with individually drawn bees in brown and yellow. It comes with its original fitted lid, which has an intentional opening for a honey spoon or serving spoon.

The unglazed terracotta base is incised “AXMINSTER” with the potter’s “N.H.” monogram underneath.
