A lot of three antique musical rattles made from all natural components such as gourds, seeds and woven plant fibers. This group of rattles were collected in the 1960/1970s and are antique examples. Such rattles were often used by indigenous shaman during ayahuasca and other ritual ceremonies. The Guajajara (also known as the Tenetehara) are one of the largest indigenous groups in Brazil, primarily located in the state of Maranhão in the eastern Amazon rainforest, they are renowned for their fierce environmental activism.
