Item Description:

This auction is for a neat old autograph book along with a couple of photos that show professional wrestlers from back in the 1940s or so. The book is full of autographs and also some newspaper clipping photos. There are over 70 autographs in the book. It belonged to a young boy that was 4 - 1/2 years old from Norfolk, Virginia. His name is on the front inside cover. Some of the autographs are dated and they are in the 1940s. The one photo showing one wrestler is signed on the back Don Lee, Del Rio, Texas 3-27-46. The photo postcard showing two wrestlers is marked Best Wishes George & Bobby Becker and it has their autographs on it. 

The front of the autograph album is marked Autographs, Norfolk, VA. I was able to look up several of the names did see that they were wrestlers from the era including a few woman wrestlers. One was a lady named Mildred Burke who was a World Champion lady wrestler. Also another lady wrestler names Mae Weston and a wrestler named Sailor Tiger Joe Marsh. There are also several names in the book like Tex Ritter, Gene Autry & Eddy Arnold (see last few photos). Also one that looks to be Jack Dempsey (see last picture).
