This is an antique miniature alcohol spirit lamp sold by the Carter's Ink Company. It is an excellent example of a scarce early 20th-century office or desk accessory, likely used for warming sealing wax or special adhesives.
Approx. 3.5 inches tall (top of wick assembly to bottom).
The clear glass base is in beautiful condition, with no known cracks or chips, and features the "CARTER’S U.S.A." embossment on the bottom. It is complete with its original, tarnished brass wick assembly and old fabric wick. We are not experts in antique spirit lamps, but it appears that none of the pieces are missing or broken.
