--As the sun emerged from behind the clouds, summer washed over everything.

Yosuke Ashitaba has returned after eight years away.

He has come back to the place where he spent what were likely the most important days of his life:

Oboshiro Church—or the "Sunflower Church"—a small building standing proudly like a sun blooming from the earth.

"Yo-kun!!" "Is it really, truly you, Yo-kun!?"

"Yeah, I'm home."

Yomi, the girl who welcomes him just as she did eight years ago;

Daiya, the girl who comes to see him;

Luka, the girl who waited for him;

And Hina, a girl he meets for the first time.

Facing the demolition of the church, they set out to restore this cherished, dilapidated place.
