This lot contains two vintage hardcover books with tight bindings and clean pages.  The titles in this lot include: 

• The Life and Times of Horatio Hornblower by C. Northcote Parkinson: Excellent used condition with minor shelf wear on the dust jacket.  Originally published in 1970, and out of print for several years, this edition was republished by Barnes & Noble in 1996;   
• Lord Hornblower by C. S. Forester: Book Club edition published 1946.  Dust jacket is in terrible condition; illustrated endpapers. Gold embossed front & spine; hardboard corners & and spine edges are scuffed & worn.  Penciled notation on flyleaf; light smudges on outer page edges; pages are yellowed with age. 

No visible marks, stains or tears other than noted.  Smoke-free home.
