A striking 19th-century oil on canvas by Alfred J. Warne Browne (c.1855–1913), depicting a dramatic Cornish coastal seascape with crashing waves, rocky shoreline and a distant sailing vessel.

The painting is particularly atmospheric, with expressive, textured brushwork capturing the movement of the sea and the changing coastal light. The work is signed lower right.

Presented in an impressive ornate gilt frame, which complements the traditional marine subject beautifully.

A wonderful example of Victorian British marine painting and an attractive decorative piece for a period or traditional interior
