Unusual signed vintage ceramic pitcher featuring Gothic-inspired religious relief decoration.

The cream-glazed body is surrounded by raised architectural panels depicting robed ecclesiastical figures, including bishop- or saint-like figures with mitres and staffs. The angular handle is especially distinctive and incorporates a molded bearded male face near the top, giving the vessel a strong medieval or cathedral-inspired appearance.

The underside is hand inscribed “Frank ’72,” indicating a likely studio pottery piece dated 1972.
