This is a Fenton Art Glass Burmese rose bowl vase decorated with a hand-painted scene by Connie Ash. Hand-painted nature scenic design featuring bare trees against a soft, misty background. Burmese glass is a distinct variety of opaque colored art qlass that transitions from a soft lemon- yellow base to a salmon-pink blush at the top. Due to uranium oxide ingredient the inherent yellow color. Because of this, authentic Burmese glass glows a brilliant, bright green when exposed to a UV ultraviolet blacklight. This vase has a have a soft, matte "satin" fnish created by treatment with acid after firing. The vessel has a low, squat, and globular or ball- like silhouette. The sides curve deeply outward from a narrow base, reaching maximum fullness at the midsection before tapering back inward. The top rim curves inward drastically to restrict the top opening. The edge is styled with a tight, wavy crimped or ruffled pattern. This structural design was originally engineered to support individual short- stemmed rose blossoms, propping up the flower heads perfectly. The entire spherical body rests flat on a short intearated annular collar base. Measuring 4.75" in length and 3.5
