This Basalt skull is that kind of porous looking Basalt. It is cooled lava, which is why Basalt is often given the far more interesting name of lava rock.

Igneous in nature, this Basalt has been carved into the shape of a skull.

This Basalt stone skull came into the rock room this year as part of an old crystal collection. I can't remember which one. It was a while ago.

It has been washed, smoke bathed in incense, and has been waiting for me to positively id it so that I could list it ever since.
