A beautiful vintage La Verrerie de Biot Photophore 24 hurricane candle lamp, mouth-blown in amethyst or dusky rose bubble glass.

The lamp has an elegant flared hurricane form with a rounded body, substantial pedestal foot and an integral central socket designed to hold a candle securely. Numerous intentional bubbles throughout the glass create Biot’s celebrated textured appearance and diffuse candlelight beautifully.

La Verrerie de Biot has produced its distinctive mouth-blown bubble glass in Provence since 1956. The company still offers the Photophore 24 in this same form, confirming the identification.
