Key Features

Elevate your playing with the Ibanez SR280E bass guitar, a high-performance, budget-friendly model launched in 2026. Designed to meet the needs of a wide range of players, from beginners to seasoned musicians, this bass offers exceptional playability and versatile sound options. Its compact, body-fit design and slim neck ensure comfortable handling, while the active EQ system allows for a broad spectrum of tones.

Features include an EQ On/Off switch for quick switching between active and passive modes. In active mode, the Ibanez Custom Electronics 3-band EQ (High/Mid/Low) provides extensive sound shaping, while in passive mode, the High knob functions as a tone control. Powered by a 9V battery, the bass can be played passively if the battery runs out, ensuring uninterrupted performance.

Equipped with two Ibanez original Dynamix J pickups, the SR280E delivers a punchy, rich sound with prominent mid-low frequencies and a warm tone characteristic of J-style pickups. The fingerboard is made of durable purpleheart, known for its high density and tonal richness similar to rosewood. The 24-fret neck spans two octaves, offering a wide range of playability.

The body is crafted from Okoume wood, producing a bright, solid sound with midrange qualities akin to mahogany. The matching headstock, finished in the same color as the body, adds a sleek aesthetic. The bass weighs approximately 3.61 kg and comes with a soft case and a 1-year manufacturer warranty.

This model is perfect for players seeking an affordable yet versatile instrument that excels across genres, combining comfort, sound quality, and practicality.
