Charming matched pair of early 20th-century Chinese export brass miniature vases, each hand engraved with stylised dragon / mythical creature and foliate decoration.

Both have attractive baluster-shaped bodies, flared scalloped rims and shaped pedestal feet, with individually hand-worked decoration giving each vase slightly different character.

Each vase is hand-incised CHINA to the underside, consistent with pieces produced for the export market during the early 20th century.

A lovely decorative pair with plenty of genuine age and character, ideal for a vintage brass collection, Oriental-inspired interior or small floral display.

Condition: Antique/vintage condition with surface wear, scratches, tarnishing, oxidation and darkening consistent with age. There are also areas of old solder/repair visible on the bodies. Interiors and undersides show considerable age-related patina and residue. Please study all photographs carefully as they form an important part of the condition description.
