1960's high school yearbook featuring students and teachers, activities and local advertisement, and including 15 year old graduating senior and already critically acclaimed actor Patty Duke who appears in class and in the Broadway play The Miracle Worker. From a very small very exclusive school for young professionals in New York City, a specialized school for children working in show business, with only 19 graduates.
Patty Duke was an American actress, the recipient of an Academy Award, two Golden Globe Awards, three Emmy Awards, and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Duke portrayed Helen Keller in the film The Miracle Worker, a role she had originated on Broadway. Duke won an Academy Award for her performance. Following this, she played the dual role of "identical cousins" Cathy and Patty Lane on her own network television series The Patty Duke Show (1963–1966). She Neely O'Hara in the film Valley of the Dolls (1967) and Natalie Miller in the film Me, Natalie (1969) earning a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress. She played a runaway pregnant Southerner in the film My Sweet Charlie,. and later played the main role in the horror films You'll Like My Mother, Look What's Happened to Rosemary's Baby, and She Waits. In 1982, Duke received the Genie Award for her role in the film By Design.
