This listing is for a 37" putter. Very old and made in the long nose style. The head is in good condition. It does have the expected play nicks and dings. There is a defect in the wood on the crown at the toe. There is also a very old screw in the lead at the heel-presumably to tighten it down. Please look at the many zoom pictures for a better idea of condition. They are an important part of the description. The crown is marked simply McEwan. The top line does slant down at the toe. My best guess is 1870's vintage. The pictures show the approximate head dimensions. Very shallow face. The shaft is an old wood shaft. The shaft is straight and It is tight at the scare. The whipping is older replacement thread that is still affixed to the scare. The grip is an older replacement that is in good vintage condition. Great early golf collectible for display.
Shipping in the US is calculated and based on a 4-pound 48"x6"x6" box. This item shipped UPS Ground. For those of you that never ship but only receive items, the further you are from me in NC the more shipping will be. That is the way the carriers charge. On top of that, eBay and takes almost 15% of what I receive for shipping (out of $10 I receive $8.50) and I would like to break even. eBay collects sales tax for many states. They charge me 15% for that service and I never see that money. Because of the high dollar value there is an included handling fee.
