SUPER DUPER RARE! ONE-OF-A-KIND! 1987 ORIGINAL SCREEN-USED PROP mechanical ZOMBIE HEAD
and HANDS (mechanics operate the eyes/eyelid on the head). These were
screen-used for the horror character/co-host/ventriloquist's zombie puppet, named Happy
Goldsplatt, in the 1987 home video VHS release of "Mad Ron's Prevues From
Hell"
(Off The Wall Video). Now available on DVD through Virgil Films.
Ventriloquist Nick Pawlow is the other half
of the horror host/act (Side note: Nick is NOT included in this sale!). FX genius Jordu Schell was the artist who designed,
sculpted, cast in latex and painted this prop head and hands. Unfortunately, the puppet's body was
discarded after the video-shoot was over...fortunately, the head and hands were
saved. FX artist Jay Kushwara, designed the cable controls for the eyes
to
move side to side. A second cable control, tucked inside, is for the right eye-lid to go up
and down. Considering its age, the condition is good/fair. The latex
has
stiffened and the right eye lid is distorted from age. The paint is
still OK. Color is almost as good as it was 40 years ago (see all photos). At this point, it is a
non-functioning
display piece (the eyes still DO work beautifully, going back and forth...see photos showing this). He really looks alive when the eyes move.
"Mad Ron's Prevues From Hell" was
Jordu Schell's very FIRST video/film project,
in his long career in Hollywood. Right after he finished MRPFH, he went on to work
on makeup/special effects/creature designs for classic Hollywood films
like, "Bride Of The Re-Animator", "Starship Troopers", James Cameron's
"Avatar" (he designed the look of the blue aliens!), "Cloverfield", "The Mist", "Men In Black 1 & 3", "The
Thing (2011), "Predators", "Galaxy Quest", "Scary Movie 3", "The X
Files", "Star Trek 6", "Hellraiser: Bloodline", "Puppetmaster 2",
"Alien: Resurrection", "The Guyver", "My Favorite Martian", "Alien Vs.
Predator: Requiem", "Dragonball: Evolution", "Battle Los Angeles",
"Cowboys & Aliens", "Cabin In The Woods". The head and hands are
being sold as, and intended as a collectible screen-used prop, no rights are given or implied for this character.

This tape is a sealed, never opened, never used original VHS tape from
1987 and it IS included in this sale. For reference here, this tape WAS
Mad Ron Roccia's personal copy of the video. We thought it was
appropriate to include it. R.I.P. Mad Ron. We miss you!
