**Item Overview:**
An exceptional, highly specialized 20-piece collection of the historic Latvia 1919–1920 Red Cross semipostal emergency issues. This group includes a rare mix of clean imperforate singles, specimens, a strip of three, and distinct postally canceled examples.

**Wartime Emergency Printing:**
Stamps from this era are famous for being printed on the reverse sides of leftover currency sheets due to extreme wartime shortages. The reverses of this collection clearly show puzzle fragments of the 1919 10-Rubli exchange note from the Riga Workers' Deputies Soviet (Rīgas Strādneeku Deputatu Padome). The graphics showcase clear text sections, currency value circles, and the iconic Bolshevik red star/gear emblem.

**Elite Philatelic Provenance:**
This specific lot holds highly desirable pedigree, originating directly from the personal estate of the late Robin Joseph, a globally respected philatelist, expert researcher, and prominent member of the British Society for Russian Philately (BSRP). This provenance acts as an excellent vetting standard for the authenticity of the printings.

**Condition:**
The stamps have been preserved exceptionally well, staying clean, vivid, and flat. Please see the high-resolution front and back photos provided to examine individual margins and cancellations.
