This is a Eelco finned aluminum 2 piece timing cover from the 50's-60's. This is a real deal vintage speed part. These were popular on many high performance applications of the era including hot rods, race cars, boats, and more. These were quite expensive when new. This timing cover is in very good condition as shown. I see no breaks or repairs to this piece. The cam cover has a bolt in the center through where the "L" in Eelco would be. I believe this is a cam stop for a roller cam like a cam button. I decided not to clean this since it shows is it a real deal vintage piece. After taking the pictures, I realized the water pump block off areas looked like they had heavy corrosion when that was not the case. I glass bead blasted those 2 sealing surfaces only to show they are in good condition. If you plan to run a traditional water pump, those water pump block off ears could be trimmed off to allow the use of a bolt on pump. This is an amazing vintage timing cover.
