Description
A spectacular large vintage Italian Empoli glass genie bottle, dating from approximately the 1960s–70s.
Standing an impressive 62 cm tall with its matching stopper, the bottle features a slender tapering form with pronounced vertical optic ribbing and a beautifully scalloped base. The rich ruby-red glass catches the light wonderfully, while the elongated flame-shaped stopper creates an elegant and dramatic silhouette.
Part of the original silver foil “Made in Italy” export label remains attached to the body. These large decorative bottles were produced by glassworks around Empoli in Tuscany and exported internationally during the mid-20th century.
An excellent statement piece for a sideboard, mantel, floor display or collection of Italian mid-century art glass.
