A striking mid-century Bohemian art-glass vase attributed to Josef Hospodka for the Chřibská glassworks in former Czechoslovakia.

The heavy hand-formed vase features rich cranberry-pink glass encased in clear glass, with a sculptural asymmetric form, pulled side lobes and flowing organic contours. A substantial and highly decorative example of post-war Czech glass design.

Condition Note

The vase remains intact, but there is a visible internal stress line within the glass, clearly shown in the close-up photographs. It does not appear to extend through to the exterior surface. This must be considered when purchasing, and the vase is recommended primarily as a decorative display piece.

There are also minor surface marks, base wear, bubbles and manufacturing variations consistent with its age and handmade production. Please examine all photographs carefully before purchasing.
