This is a New Old Stock Big Block Chevy Chaparral finned aluminum valve cover. This recently came out of the estate of a long time racer who was involved in Can Am racing. There were lots of Can Am race parts like magnesium Mac Kay injection, Mclaren magnesium BBC valve covers, magnesium Mac Kay distributors, and many other parts. This valve cover is in excellent unused condition as shown. This has never been used or installed. In fact, it hasn't even been drilled for the head mounting holes as shown. This cover is made of aluminum which is interesting. I thought it would be made of magnesium but this is definitely a legit true vintage piece. It is also quite heavy. I added a couple pictures of vintage Chaparral race cars with this same style valve cover on them. This is the real deal.
