  Yes, it needs to be connected to HomeBase. Ensure your HomeBase has the required version: HomeBase Mini (v4.0.5.2 or above), HomeBase 2 (v3.4.1.2 or above, released after 2021), HomeBase 3 (v3.7.2.6 or above), and HomeBase Pro (v4.1.4.3 or above).

• How long does the battery last?

  Under normal conditions, it can last for 5 years.

• What is the function of the bypass button?

  Press the bypass button for 2 seconds to temporarily disarm the device. When pressed, opening the door will not trigger an alarm when the system is armed. Bypass lasts for 120 seconds, after which the sensor will return to normal.

• What is the detection distance for opening and closing? What does dual-sided detection mean?

  Usually within 0.8 inches (2 cm). Dual-sided detection means that you can place the magnet on the left or right side of the main unit, and it will detect the opening and closing of doors/windows.
