I believe this robe was bought as a souvenir from Japan some years ago and never or seldom used.
You are offered a beautiful, soft, highly lustrous, feminine, top quality, silky polyester Japanese-made kimono dressing gown / robe. The fabric used in this vintage robe is highly lustrous, very fine, strong, soft, smooth and silky.
The base colour is a lovely deep pink with a touch of peach.
The pattern is lovely and predominantly shows gorgeous typical Japanese flowers including peony, plum blossom branches, hanging wisteria and chrysanthemums. The flowers are fashioned in an array of pretty colours including white, pinks, purple with green leaves. There are also beautiful long tailed peacock birds in black,purple, white and green.
It has a label from a top quality Japanese maker called 'Juguemm' This is one of the best makers of this kind of robe, in my opinion. The care label says it can be machine washed cool (please treat as a delicate and don't use soap that contains bleach). I have washed similar ones that I own, many times and they always look as good as new.
SIZE : This was originally made as a large girls size but it would be suitable for a petite adult. It would be quite long on a girl (depending on their height) and below knee length on an adult.
This robe it is a 'one size fits all' garment because it is a wrap round style - I think it would fit a range of sizes up to maximum of adult UK size 8.
I don't know what size child it would fit so please check the measurements against the child's dressing gown to check the size.
The length is about 45"/114.5cm long.
The width from one cuff to the other cuff is 48.5"/123cm.
The width across the back (armpit to armpit) is 19"/48.5cm. The width all around at the waist is about 45"/114.5cm and please remember you need a good overlap in the front.
The belt is about 56"/142cm long.
The robe weighs about 250g.
AGE & CONDITION: This will have a bit of age because this maker is long discontinued. However the modern wash symbols mean that it is later than 1980s. So I believe it will be about 1990s.
Overall it is in near mint, vintage, very gently used condition overall with no significant faults. There are some creases from storage. There is one pulled thread on the back skirt which is not conspicuous enough to show up on a photo but is mentioned for the sake of accuracy.

UK buyers Postage costs and Combined postage I can now only use Ebay's new "simple delivery" postal system. This seems to only offer one option for Royal Mail postage for a typical small parcel which is 48 hour tracked. I believe that the ebay postage system will combine postage if you buy more than one item at the same time or within a few hours of each other. If you buy items at longer periods apart, then eBay cannot combine the postage and I cannot change this, as the postage is now not in my control.
