Antique American Brilliant Period Cut Glass Celery Dish / Tray – c. 1900

Beautiful antique American Brilliant Period cut glass celery dish or serving tray, dating to approximately the late 19th or early 20th century.

This substantial oval piece features elaborate hand-cut decoration with large hobstar-style motifs, geometric miter cuts, strawberry/diamond cutting, starburst details, and a deeply cut sawtooth rim.

The dish has wonderful brilliance and weight, weighing approximately 1 lb. 14 oz.

The clear glass also exhibits a lovely green fluorescence under a 365nm UV black light, as shown in the photographs. The glass is clear/colorless under normal lighting.

Condition:
Very good antique condition with no chips or cracks found. Due to the extensive cutting and sawtooth rim, please examine all photographs carefully for condition. Minor surface wear, or other signs of age and use may be present consistent with an antique cut glass piece more than a century old.

No maker's signature has been found, and the maker and pattern remain unidentified.
