An excellent condition and unusual gents gold gilded pocket watch by WThomas Spencer of Chelmsford.   As it is a base metal gilded case there are no marking to date it by specifically but I think it will date to circa 1810-20.
From A Google search :-    Thomas Spencer was an active clockmaker and watchmaker based in Chelmsford, Essex, operating primarily during the first half of the 19th century.     
Movement:-
      The nice brightly  gilded English Fusee movement with a Verge  Escapement  is one from my own collection which was serviced about 2 years ago and is running very well.     It has been fully wound and will run for the full length of the Fusee chain with a good balance action in all positions.     It has very good timekeeping for a watch of this age +10 min / 24 hrs. lying on my desk.     Unusual key winding from the front (or rear with the m/ment in the out position) and hand set by a square inthe centre of the hands both function well and there is a key supplied.
Case:-   
The beautiful gold gilded case is in excellent condition with no dents or dings and measures 44mm diameter approx.
  Please note that it is a one piece case opening from the front only by the good condition hinge at 6 O'c.
Dial:-
It has a beautifully engraved gold gilded dial with raised/applied gold battons.  Gold hands a a substantial high dome crystal glass all add to the quality and originallity of the watch.  I have to say it looks better to the naked eye than in the pics.

 A truely beautiful watch for the Collector or for Occasional Use.
