- Mixed parcel of genuine Australian Mintabie opal in the form of small bright chips and specs. 

- Red, Orange, Green, Blue, Gold & Violet flashes throughout. 

- Weighing a total of 78 grams / 391 carats.

Mined from the iconic Mintabie fields in the 1970s, this genuine seam opal represents a bygone era of Australian mining. With the township closed and only restricted permit mining allowed today, material like this is becoming harder to find.

As with all Mintabie opal, buyers should be experienced with cutting and stability considerations.

Photos and video are taken under neutral lighting, with the opals shown wet to demonstrate natural play-of-colour and an indication of how they may appear after cut and polish. Occasional flash photography may be used to help capture colour detail.
