Vintage Copeland Spode Monogrammed Dessert Plates x TWELVE for T. Goode & Co.
Initialled with ‘RL’ (or ‘LR’) Green band; gold trim.
Plates = 8” inches wide (20cm)
All clean and all retaining a very healthy ring.
No restoration, no chips, no cracks, no hairlines, no crazing, no staining. Usage marks seen turned into the light. Overall very good gold gilding with just a little age-related rub on a few.
There are variations on the Spode back-stamp: and slight variations on the band rim colour: likely from firing variations with different production times. A rich emerald green; some slightly darker; or slight variations on the band width which I’ve tried to show in the last photo. All with the same gold monogrammed initials. Some have an impressed date stamp.
Some of the back-stamps include the stamp for upmarket retailer T. Goode & Co; London.
English bone china (porcelain) made in Staffordshire, England.
