A stunning / teasing piece of Classic Genuine Australian Mintabie Seam Opal with a grey base featuring red, gold, orange, green and blue bar and flashes throughout.

Approx 3-7mm thick.

Mined from the iconic Mintabie fields in the 1970s, this genuine seam opal represents a bygone era of Australian mining. With the township closed and only restricted permit mining allowed today material like this is becoming harder to find.

Photos and video are taken under neutral lighting, with the opals shown wet to demonstrate natural play-of-colour and an indication of how they may appear after cut and polish. Occasional flash photography may be used to help capture colour detail.
