A lovely piece of vintage library and office equipment with a heavy cast metal body, long lever handle and original circular embossing die.

The press has been tested and produces a good, clearly legible embossed impression – an example can be seen in the photographs.

Good vintage used condition with age-related surface wear, marks and some oxidation/rust, particularly around the die and working components. The green felt underneath is worn and lifting/missing in places. There is also some wear to the painted/hammered finish. The mechanism operates and the embossing die has been tested successfully.
