Origins: The institution traces its roots back to 1863 when the original Bryant and Stratton national chain of business schools expanded.
Providence Era: In 1916, Harry L. Jacobs purchased the Providence branch and incorporated it as the Bryant and Stratton Rhode Island Commercial School.
