Description

A superb original period 35mm colour slide featuring Swedish Formula One driver Stefan Johansson at the wheel of the Marlboro McLaren International McLaren MP4/3, race No. 2, during the 1987 Formula One season.

A particularly attractive head-on action photograph showing the MP4/3's distinctive Marlboro red-and-white livery, with prominent TAG Heuer, Shell and Goodyear branding.

Johansson joined McLaren for 1987 as teammate to Alain Prost, driving the TAG-Porsche turbocharged McLaren MP4/3 throughout the season. He achieved five podium finishes, including second places at the Belgian and German Grands Prix, and finished 6th in the 1987 World Drivers' Championship with 30 points.

A wonderful period image from the final years of the original McLaren-TAG Porsche turbo era, and an excellent collectible for enthusiasts of McLaren, Johansson and 1980s Formula One.

Condition: Good original vintage condition with minor age-related marks consistent with an original period transparency. Please study the supplied scans carefully.
