The story of Grant Burge is one of the past, the present, and the future. Planting their roots in the Barossa Valley in 1865, the Burge's began as a family of devoted vignerons. For five generations, they spent their days toiling the soil, and from it growing grapes that would become the most luxurious of wines. Each wine at every tier continuously exceeds expectations.

The award winning Grant Burge Meshach is our flagship Shiraz, only released in vintages of outstanding quality, handpicked from near century old vines from the famed Barossa Valley. The fruit for this wine has tremendous concentration and intensity, making Meshach a powerful, yet beautifully balanced wine.

The 2019 vintage was one of the driest we have experienced. Below average winter rainfall, coupled with a dry spring and summer resulted in naturally lower yields across the vineyards. These conditions resulted in rich and concentrated wines, although low in quantity. 

Intense blackberry, assertive yet elegant cedary oak aromas and dark cocoa that support the fruit aromatics. Rich, layered and complex. Dense black fruits hit the front of the palate, with powdery textural tannins providing support and length. A wine built with excellent cellaring capacity, and will drink well for many years to come.
