Wonderful hand-carved and hand-painted wooden bird figurine depicting a blue jay perched on a natural wood branch. The bird features layered carved feathers, rich blue/teal, black and white painted detailing, a small red berry held in its open beak, glass-like eyes, and individually formed metal legs and feet.

The combination of carved wood, natural branch base and metal feet gives this piece a charming vintage folk-art character. No maker identification is visible in the photographs.
