Whipham apprenticed under Thomas Farren 1728-1737,
during this time Farren was one of the ROYAL SILVERSMITHS (1723-1742).
Hallmarked as shown, under cover and base.
Never monogrammed, no removals.
This very fine 260- year old British sterling tankard 8 1/4 inches and almost 32 standard ounces.
In very, very fine condition.
Rich silver patina, original detail.
Both upper and base rims in fine state.
Interior perfectly clean.
Hinge in fine state, cover closes perfectly flush.
