Offered here is an original 1880 hard stock card that reads "Yourself and Gentleman are Respectfully Invited  to attend the Grand Leap Year Ball at the Courthouse, Nevada." Admission Ticket One Dollar for New Years Eve, 1880. Measures 4.50 x 3.50. Beautifully colored fan at upper left corner, and fancy writing overall. Back of card shows the Committee Members involved. From back when Nevada (City) was a booming mining camp in the old Mother Lode Mining District near Grass Valley. Still a great place to visit today. Nice display piece of Nevada City history well suited for a museum. Thanks for looking!
