John Wolcot (1738-1819) was a poetic satirist who adopted the name of the Greek poet Pindar. His most famous collection of satirical verses was the Lyric Odes to the Royal Academy Painters (1782). After his death his various published pamphlets were gathered together in three volumes published by John Walker in 1794. This is volume three, made up of a gathering of eleven pamphlets, starting with a second lambasting of the Royal Academy. 431 pages plus index. interior very good condition with very minor foxing. Both covers are separated but extant. The front cover shows that this book was in the Clarence Club (a private men's "literary" club in Mayfair in 1829) library. I can imagine the members enjoyed reading the satirical poem on page 155 titled "The Tale of Van Trump".
