A Beautiful Early 19th Century French Gilt Bronze Jewellery Casket, Decorated With Pierced Scrollwork Panels And Finely Painted Sèvres Porcelain Floral Plaques.

Dates To Around 1820

The Casket Has A Very Decorative Architectural Form With Arched Lid, Ball Feet, Ornate Gilt Borders, Openwork Rococo Scroll Decoration And Multiple Small Sevres Porcelain Panels Painted With Flowers Within Blue And Gilt Borders. The Interior Is Lined In A Rich Rust / Red Velvet, Giving It A Very Attractive Period Look.

The Condition Is Good For Age, With Expected Wear To The Gilding, Tarnish, Age Related Movement And Wear To The Velvet Lining. Please Note The Casket Does Sit Slightly Out Of Shape, With Some Distortion To The Gilt Metal Frame, As Shown In The Photographs. There Is No Key Present.

It Measures Approximately 15cm Wide x 14.5cm Tall x 10cm Deep.
