Description A stunning very large English antique solid sterling silver vanity/hand mirror in excellent condition and with full English silver hallmarks for Birmingham 1927. Beautiful quality and a huge size, measures approx 11.5 inches (290mm) in length x 6.25 inches (158mm) wide; it is all-over decorated with deeply embossed and engraved flowers and foliage and is complete with its original glass mirror plate with rope-twist border. It weighs a substantial approx 466 grams (total weight) and has a nice small historic faintly engraved entwined monogram in the cartouche.

Date English antique solid sterling silver with a full set of silver hallmarks for Birmingham 1927 (date letter "C"). Good clear silver marks and the silversmiths initials are "DM Co", (Daniel Silver Manufacturing Co - 1912 - 1957).

Condition Excellent condition with no splits or repairs to the silver, definitely no wear/polish holes, in the embossed decration and no nasty knocks or dents, a lovely clean example in an extra big size and with beautiful high relief embossed decoration. The glass mirror plate is original, there are no chips or cracks, it does have a bit of age foxing/clouding, i tried to photo it but it was is almost impossible, (see photo) honestly nothing at all bad and still pretty clear. Superb quality and extremely heavy 99 year old silver vanity mirror.
