Die Canal-Randolph Corporation wurde 1955 in Texas gegründet und später ins Handelsregister in Delaware eingetragen. Die Gesellschaft war im Bereich Immobilien tätig. Man projektierte, baute, kaufte und verkaufte Büroflächen in guten Lagen der Großstädte der USA. Ein weiterer Schwerpunkt war die Vermietung. Auch Hotels, Freizeitimmobilien, Farmland usw. gehörten zum Geschäft. Teile des operativen Geschäfts erledigte die 100% Tochter Canal Randolph Associates Corp. sowie die United Stock Yard Corp und viele weitere Töchter. Die Canal-Randolph Gruppe gehörte bis in die 1970-er Jahre zu den ganz großen der Branche. Ende der 1980-er Jahre kam es zu finanziellen Problemen und die besten Firmenteile wurden verkauft, die Notiz an der Börse später eingestellt.

The Canal-Randolph Corporation was founded in 1955 in Texas and later registered in the Delaware commercial register. The company was active in real estate. It planned, built, bought, and sold office spaces in prime locations in major U.S. cities. Another focus was leasing. Hotels, recreational properties, farmland, and so on were also part of the business. Parts of the operational business were handled by the 100% subsidiary Canal Randolph Associates Corp., as well as United Stock Yard Corp and many other subsidiaries. The Canal-Randolph Group was among the biggest in the industry until the 1970s. By the late 1980s, financial problems arose, and the best parts of the company were sold; the stock listing was later discontinued.
