From one of the most important silver workshops of the China trade period Hoaching,
working from 1825-1880 in Canton.
Marlowe writes "...all pieces bearing this marks (Gothic H) display a very high standard of workmanship".
Hoaching's silver displayed Peabody Museum, Salem Massachusetts, and MFA.
Never monogrammed, which is highly unusual for CES dragon mugs.
This 175-year old Hoaching dragon handle warrior mug 5 inches at rim and 11 1/2 standard ounces.
In exceptionally fine condition.
It appears little used.
Rich, glowing silver patina.
It retains the original hand carved detail. Even facial details of
some of the figures intact, as illustrated in images below.
