Over its 18 year run as Nissan's halo model, the R35 GT-R remained a cool and powerful supercar, with its twin-turbo V6 and AWD system making it one of the easiest cars to be fast in around a racetrack. That each one is hand-built and has been competitive with cars double and triple its cost only helped to cement it as a legendary car, and a dream car for so many. Focal Horizon has done an excellent job on this one, looking at it on my desk feels nearly as good as it would to see one in my driveway
This one is painted in Blaze Orange Metallic, a shade that looks absolutely incredible on it, with nicely contrasting ducts in the hood, mirrors, and a low spoiler. The hood can be opened - and held open with a thin wire prop - to show off the extremely detailed engine bay, where the VR38DETT has been painted to look just like a real motor. The badges of the car come as waterslide decals, so you can choose whether to display it debadged. There are also extra decals on the sheet, so if you're a bit clumsy with them, you get a redo. Behind the black 7-spoke wheels are silver brake disks with painted calipers, and the translucent plastic headlights make this car look just as real as the other little details. The interior has a detailed RHD dash and red bucket seats
