Up for sale is this striking vintage Sekonda mechanical wristwatch dating from approximately the 1970s and made in the USSR.

This is a particularly attractive Soviet Sekonda, featuring a beautifully preserved silver sunburst dial, bold applied black and gold-tone hour markers and a distinctive full day-and-date display at 3 o'clock.

The substantial 36mm gold-plated case gives the watch excellent wrist presence for its period, while the silver sunburst dial remains remarkably attractive. Internally it is fitted with a 21-jewel Soviet manual-wind day/date movement from the Slava 2428 movement family.

The watch is currently not running and is therefore being sold as requiring repair or restoration.
