Vintage Cast Iron Sun Fire Office 1710 Insurance Fire Mark Plaque
Good overall condition. Noticeable surface wear and paint loss, particularly to the nose of the sun face and at several points around the blue outer rim. Further scratches, marks and general wear from previous display. Wooden backing and stand show some surface wear.
Vintage reproduction Sun Fire Office insurance fire mark featuring a substantial cast iron plaque with raised sun face, painted gold against a blue background and marked “1710”.
The magnetic metal plaque is approximately 4 mm thick, increasing to approximately 25 mm at the projecting nose, and is mounted on a wooden backing with an integral freestanding support. The complete item weighs approximately 1 kg.
