A striking and substantial vintage artisan ring dating to the late 1970s/early 1980s, originally purchased from an artisan silversmith/jeweler in Los Angeles, California.

The ring features a warm, faceted carnelian stone at the center of a dramatic diamond-shaped face. Applied silver bead clusters decorate each corner, with larger dimensional beadwork continuing along the shoulders.

At an impressive 22.82 grams, this is a wonderfully substantial piece with the weight and presence of old artisan jewelry.

The darkened recesses, hand-worked surfaces and naturally developed patina give the ring tremendous character. It has not been aggressively polished or refinished.
