Beautiful signed studio pottery vase by Bill Buckingham, featuring a rich raku-style metallic finish with shifting shades of teal green, blue, purple, copper and smoky bronze.

The rounded vessel has a wide flared rim and is accented around the body with a slender copper wire band finished with a hand-twisted detail. The textured, iridescent surface changes beautifully depending on the light and viewing angle.

The underside is hand signed Bill Buckingham and includes his distinctive cross-like maker's mark.

Buckingham is known for studio pottery including raku and crystalline-glazed works associated with his Hawaii pottery career.

Measures approximately 6" tall with an opening of about 3".

A striking piece of signed American studio pottery with wonderful color and texture that displays beautifully on its own.
