Bob Smith Industries 5 Minute Quick-Cure Epoxy has 3 sizes (BSI201 BSI202 BSI 211): 5 Min Bob Smith Industries QUIK-CURE™ 5 min. epoxy cures to a slightly flexible consistency. This lack of brittleness allows it to form a lasting bond in areas subjected to high vibration or stress. However, it is not recommended for areas subject to long-term immersion in water.
Bob Smith Industries QUIK-CURE™ shouldn’t be used in areas that are subject to long-term immersion in water; however, it works fine for the internal structure of wood framed boats. QUIKCURE™ is our only epoxy on which you can apply polyester resins. It can be mixed with microballoons to form a quick setting putty. Items bonded with QUIK-CURE™ can be handled after 15 minutes. Full strength is reached in 1 hour.
QUICK-CURE 5 Minute Epoxy is an equal two part hobby adhesive that forms high strength bonds through a chemical reaction between the resin and the hardener. The cured epoxy is resistant to most chemicals. In addition, the QUICK-CURE Epoxy is the leasttemperature sensitive of our epoxies. It will cure in temperatures down to 40 degrees Fahrenheit. Temperatures above 90 degrees Fahrenheit shorten the working time before the epoxy begins to set up for 5 to less than 4 minutes.
